Even as the election results seem uncertain, there is something we can be certain of right now. That is, that we never need sacrifice our Principles. The Principles of Prosperity are fundamental principles that can apply to any circumstance. Furthermore, you have more control than you think.
Will some things change in 2021, if there is to be a “changing of the guard”? Yes, perhaps. Taxes may change, regulations may shift, and new initiatives might appear. However, what will not change is the fiber of who we are.
Nor does the game of success change. In fact, the secret sauce of the thought leaders of this country has very little to do with politics. Instead, they’re focused on innovation. What can they do despite what’s happening in the world?
If you’re concerned about what’s to come, we’d like to ease your mind. Here’s how to find prosperity and success in 2021.
How to Find Prosperity in Any Political Climate
1. Find Your Passion
The world has moved online in 2020, in ways we didn’t even think possible. Making your dream business a reality is more realistic than ever. If you haven’t already, take the time to pinpoint what you’re passionate about.
No matter what happens in the coming year, business owners and entrepreneurs will continue to thrive. If you can enter the online space, you’re in an even better position. Not only can you thrive, you can enjoy what you do.
Recognize that you don’t have to follow the typical path to be successful, and you will find freedom.
2. Manage Your Mindset
In a scenario where you may feel helpless, it’s important to focus on what you can control. Your mindset is your number one asset, and if you’re not careful, it can control you. If you don’t take ownership of the thoughts that come and go, you will get sucked into the world’s drama.
When you’re tempted by fear, anger, or frustration, take a pause and recalibrate your thoughts. Gratitude is a helpful tool for pulling yourself into a Prosperity mindset. If you feel overwhelmed by the news and social media, resist the urge to “doom scroll” or engage in virtual arguments. These actions can only dampen your mood. Instead, unplug and do something that brings you joy.
If you want to be a happier, more productive person, you must manage your mindset before it manages you.
3. Establish Intentional Habits
We all have habits, and some serve us better than others. In order to prosper in 2021, regardless of the political climate, you might need to make some changes. It’s time to let go of what’s holding you back.
Dan Sullivan of Strategic Coach says, “You are 100% disciplined to your current set of habits.” Take a moment to reflect on what that means for you. Have you fallen into habits with little thought? Or have you cultivated purposeful habits that help you be your best self?
4. Have a Vision
You’re either growing or you’re dying–there’s no such thing as coasting. Don’t know what you want from the future? Figure it out.
Identifying what you want is the first step to getting it. From there it gets easier and easier to take the necessary steps. Then you’ll be more prepared to navigate whatever the future holds. Without direction, it’s easy to blink, and a year has passed. Set yourself up to prosper by knowing what you want so you’re capable of making progress towards that dream. Already achieved your vision? Start again.
5. Embrace New Environments
Change is the only constant in life. As much as we may want things to stay the same, they won’t. The more we resist this idea, the harder we make our lives. Technology is the perfect example–the tech industry has exploded in the last few decades. We went from desktop computers to smartphones in less than a generation. It’s clear that while some have adapted, others have not.
And then 2020 happened. The businesses that were able to make a virtual leap have prospered over those who resisted change. We may not like every single change in our lives, yet they will happen regardless. Our response and our willingness to adapt will help us prosper, and perhaps even innovate.
